Generic Zyvox is indicated to treat infections caused by bacteria. Linezolid (Generic Zyvox) kills or stops the growth of certain bacteria that causes infections. Generic Zyvox is an antibiotic and is used to treat infections of the skin, bone, blood, lung and respiratory tract and other tissues.
Generic for Zyvox Contraindications and Drug Interactions
Generic Zyvox is contraindicated in patients, who are hypersensitive to this drug, medications that belong to this class of drugs or had an allergic reaction to it in the past.
Generic Zyvox should not be taken by patients who have a history of the following ailment conditions.
anxiety disorder
asthma or bronchitis
diabetes
headaches or migraine
heart or blood vessel disease, or irregular heart beats
high blood pressure
kidney disease
liver disease
over-active thyroid
Parkinson's disease
pheochromocytoma
recent head trauma
seizures or convulsions
schizophrenia, psychosis or mania
stroke or other cerebrovascular disease
There are a number of medications that interact with Generic Zyvox. It is important to take the doctor's counsel if you are taking any of the following.

cyclobenzaprine
dextromethorphan
furazolidone
guarana
medicines for allergies, colds, hayfever, sinus, and breathing difficulties
medicines for headaches or migraine

Generic for Zyvox Dosage
The usual recommended dosage of Generic Zyvox for pneumonia and Complicated Skin Infections is 600 milligrams every 12 hours for 10 to 14 days.
Generic for Zyvox Adverse Effects
Some of the most serious Generic Zyvox side Effects include skin rash, itching, increased blood pressure, irregular heart beat or palpitations, severe or watery diarrhea, skin bruising and tremor.

Generic for Zyvox and Pregnancy

Generic Zyvox has been studied in elderly patients and has not been found to cause different side effects or other problems than it does in younger adults
