Bisoprolol fumarate (Generic Zebeta) works by slowing the heart rate and relaxing the blood vesels so the heart does not have to pump as hard. Since, heart pain occus when oxygen need exceeds supply, Generic Zebeta slows the rate and force of contraction of the heart by blocking certain nerve impulses, thus reducing blood pressure.
