Indications
Urinary frequency, Urinary leakage and difficult urination
Generic Urispas is indicated to treat symptoms of urinary frequency, urinary urgency, urinary leakage, painful or difficult urination and urinary incontinence. Flavoxate (Generic Urispas) works by relaxing the involuntary muscle found in the wall of the bladder. This muscle can sometimes contract in uncontrollable spasms which causes an increase in the frequency of urination.
Generic for Urispas Contraindications and Drug Interactions
Generic Urispas is contraindicated in patients, who are hypersensitive to this drug, medications that belong to this class of drugs or had an allergic reaction to it in the past.
There are a number of medications that will interact with Generic Urispas . It is important to take the doctor's counsel if you are taking any of the following
Bethanechol
Cisapride
Erythromycin
Metoclopramide
Tegaserod

The usual recommended dose of Generic Urispas is one or two 100-milligram tablets 3 or 4times a day. The Generic Urispas dosage may be reduced when the symptoms reduce.

Some of the most serious Generic Urispas side Effects include headache, high body temperature, mental confusion (especially in the elderly), nausea, nervousness, painful or difficult urination, rapid heartbeat, vertigo and vomiting.
