Generic Theolair is indicated to prevent and treat symptoms of bronchial asthma, chronic bronchitis and emphysema. It relieves cough, wheezing, shortness of breath and troubled breathing. Theophylline (Generic Theolair) works by opening up the bronchial tubes (air passages of the lungs) and increasing the flow of air through them.

Generic Theolair is contraindicated in patients, who are hypersensitive to this drug, medications that belong to this class of drugs or had an allergic reaction to it in the past.
