Indications
Stomach or duodenal ulcers.
Generic Sucralfate is indicated to prevent the recurrence of stomach or duodenal (intestinal) ulcers. Sucralfate works by forming a ``barrier'' or ``coating'' over the ulcer. This protects the ulcer from the acid of the stomach, allowing it to heal. Sucralfate contains an aluminum salt.

The following information just highlights the general average dosage of GenericSucralfate The usual recommended dosage of Generic Sucralfate for active duodenal ulcer is 1 gram (1 tablet or 2 teaspoonfuls of suspension) 4 times a day on an empty stomach. Although your ulcer may heal during the first 2 weeks of therapy, Sucralfate should be continued for 4 to 8 weeks.
