Indications
Treat dry eyes
Restasis is indicated to increase tear production in patients who have dry eyes due to eye inflammation.
Restasis Contraindications and Drug Interactions
Restasis is contraindicated in patients, with a prior history of hypersensitivity to this drug, medications that belong to this class of drug or any component of this formulation.
Restasis should not be taken by patients who have a history of the following ailment conditions.
- An active eye infection
- A history of herpes keratitis
- Wear contact lenses
- Using punctal plugs
There are a number of medications that interact with Restasis. It is important to take the doctor's counsel if you are taking any of the following.
- Other eye products, especially those that contain anti-inflammatory agents
Restasis Dosage
