Generic Ponstel is indicated to help relieve inflammation and pain associated with rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. Mefenamic acid (Generic Ponstel) belongs to the family of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID).

Generic Ponstel is contraindicated in patients, who are hypersensitive to this drug, medications that belong to this class of drugs or had an allergic reaction to it in the past.
Generic Ponstel should not be taken by patients who have a history of the following ailment conditions.
Asthma, especially aspirin-sensitive asthma
