Generic Parafon is indicated to relieve acute, painful muscle discomforts, like those caused by sprains, strains or other muscle injuries. Chlorzoxasone (Generic Parafon) is a muscle relaxant with sedative properties and is used in combination with rest and physical therapy. Generic Parafon works by relaxing muscles in your body and relieves the stiffness, pain and discomfort caused to your muscles.
Generic for Parafon Contraindications and Drug Interactions
Generic Parafon is contraindicated in patients, who are hypersensitive to this drug, medications that belong to this class of drugs or had an allergic reaction to it in the past.
Generic Parafon should not be taken by patients who have any of the following ailment conditions.

liver disease
porphyria

The usual recommended dosage of Generic Parafon for muscle injuries is 1 caplet taken 3 or 4 times per day. If you do not respond to this dosage, your doctor may increase it to one and a half caplets (750 milligrams) taken 3 or 4 times per day.

Some of the most serious Generic Parafon side Effects include abdominal pain, darkened brown urine, difficulty breathing, nausea or vomiting, skin rash, hives and itching.
