Generic Pacerone is used to correct irregular heartbeats to a normal rhythm. Amiodarone (Generic Pacerone) slows and regulates nerve impulses in the heart, and acts directly on the tissue of the heart, making heart muscle less responsive to abnormal stimuli.

Generic Pacerone is contraindicated in patients, who are hypersensitive to this drug, medications that belong to this class of drugs or had an allergic reaction to it in the past.
Generic Pacerone should not be taken by patients who have a history of the following ailment conditions.

Generic for Pacerone Dosage
The following information just highlights the general average dosage of GenericPacerone The usual recommended Loading dosage of Generic Pacerone for arrhythmias is 800 to 1,600 mg/day for 1 to 3 weeks (occasionally longer) until initial therapeutic response occurs. Administration of Generic Pacerone in divided doses with meals is suggested for total daily doses of 1,000 mg or higher, or when gastrointestinal intolerance occurs. Upon starting Generic Pacerone therapy, an attempt should be made to gradually discontinue prior anti arrhythmic drugs. When adequate arrhythmia control is achieved, or if side effects become prominent, Generic Pacerone dose should be reduced to 600 to 800 mg/day for one month and then to the maintenance dose, usually 400 mg/day. Some patients may require larger maintenance doses, up to 600 mg/day, and some can be controlled on lower doses.
Generic for Pacerone Adverse Effects
Some of the most serious Generic Pacerone side Effects include appetite increase or decrease, blue-gray coloring of the skin, blurred vision, seeing blue-green halos, increased sensitivity of the eyes to light, cough or difficulty breathing, difficulty walking, dry or puffy skin or eyes, intolerance to heat or cold and nervousness.
