Eldoper is used to treat diarrhea. It slows down the bowel movement and makes the stool less watery. It is also used to reduce the amount of discharge in patients who have undergone ileostomy.
Take Eldoper as directed by your healthcare provider
Eldoper may be taken with or without food
Common side effects include dry mouth, nausea, stomach cramps and constipation, bloating, skin rashes, itching and hives.
Eldoper Contradiction and Drug Interactions
Eldoper contradicts with medications that treat active inflammatory bowel disease, intestinal ulcer and hypersensitivity. Do not use Eldoper with ritonavir, quinidine, saquinavir, desmopression and co-trimozaxole.

Eldoper is not recommended to children less than 4 years
Drink lots of water to replace fluids lost in diarrhea
Eldoper may cause drowsiness and tiredness
Special precaution must be taken in patients with a history of bloody diarrhea, allergy, fever, and bowel problems
