Indications
Bacterial infections of the eye
Generic Ocuflox is indicated to treat bacterial infections of the eye, including conjunctivitis (pink eye) and ulcers of the cornea. Ofloxacin (Generic Ocuflox) works by entering the bacterial cell and inhibiting a chemical called DNA-gyrase which is involved in the production of genetic material (DNA) This therefore prevents the bacteria from reproducing and the growth is stopped.

Generic Ocuflox is contraindicated in patients, who are hypersensitive to this drug, medications that belong to this class of drugs or had an allergic reaction to it in the past.

The usual recommended dosage of Generic Ocuflox for Eye infections is to apply 1 or 2 drops every 2 to 4 hours for the first 2 days, then 4 times daily for the next five days.

Some of the most serious Generic Ocuflox side Effects include allergic reaction, blurred vision, dizziness, dry eye, eye pain, feeling of a foreign body in the eye, inflammation, itching, nausea, redness, sensitivity to light, stinging and swelling of the eye or face.
