Indications

Generic Mircette is indicated to prevent pregnancy and to regulate the menstrual cycle. Desogestrel-ehinyl estradiol is an estrogen/progestin combination. The ethinyl estradiol and desogestrel combination prevents pregnancy by preventing ovulation (egg release). It causes a variety of hormonal changes.

The following information just highlights the general average dosage of GenericMircette For a 21 day schedule, oral contraceptives are taken every day for a 3-week period, followed by 1 week of no oral contraceptives. This cycle is repeated each month. Generic Mircette dosage should be started on the first sunday after the beginning of the menstrual period, one tablet taken daily (at the same time each day) for the next 21 days. One should wait 1 week before taking any more tablets. The menstrual period should occur during this time. Then the 21 day schedule should be started again.
