any type of active infection including measles, tuberculosis, herpes, or chickenpox
large areas of burned or damaged skin
skin wasting or thinning
an unusual or allergic reaction to betamethasone, corticosteroids, other medicines, foods, dyes, or preservatives kidney disease
liver disease
diabetes
glaucoma or cataracts

Generic Maxivate cream for allergies should be applied to the affected skin areas once or twice daily. Treatment with Maxivate Cream should be limited to 45 g per week. It is not to be used with occlusive dressings.
