Generic Macrodantin is indicated for the treatment of eliminating bacteria that causes urinary tract infections. Nitrofurantoin is an antibiotic. Nitrofurantoin is well absorbed from the gut and reaches high concentrations in the urine where it kills the bacteria responsible for these infections.

antacids containing magnesium trisilicate
