Generic Hytrin is contraindicated in patients, who are hypersensitive to this drug, medications that belong to this class of drugs or any component of this formulation.

The usual recommended dosage of Generic Hytrin for hypertension is 1 mg taken at bedtime for the first time, then, 1 to 5 mg once a day.
Generic for Hytrin Adverse Effects
Some of the most serious Generic Hytrin side Effects include blurred vision, fainting spells, lightheadedness, fast or irregular heartbeat, palpitations or chest pain and swelling of the legs and ankles.

It is not known whether Hytrin passes into breast milk. Although most medicines pass into breast milk in small amounts, many of them may be used safely while breast-feeding. Mothers who are taking this medicine and who wish to breast-feed should discuss this with their doctor.

Studies on this medicine have been done only in adult patients, and there is no specific information comparing use of Hytrin in children with use in other age groups.
