Glucotrol (Glipizide) increases the amount of insulin in the blood. Generic Glucotrol helps your body to use insulin more efficiently. It works by lowering the blood sugar by stimulating the pancreas to secrete insulin and helping the body use insulin efficiently.

Generic Glucotrol is contraindicated in patients, who are hypersensitive to this drug, medications that belong to this class of drugs or had an allergic reaction to it in the past.
