Generic Fosamax is indicated for the prevention and treatment of Osteoporosis in postmenopausal women. It is also used to increase bone mass in men with osteoporosis. Fosomax is also indicated for the treatment of Paget's disease of bone. Alendronate (Generic Fosomax) works by reducing normal and abnormal bone destruction.
Generic for Fosamax Contraindications and Drug Interactions
Generic Fosamax is contraindicated in patients, who are hypersensitive to this drug, medications that belong to this class of drugs or had an allergic reaction to it in the past.
Generic Fosamax should not be taken by patients who have history of following ailment condition
Abnormalities of the esophagus
Hypocalcemia
