Generic Floxin is indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections such as bronchitis, pneumonia, chlamydia, gonorrhea, skin infections,urinary tract infections and infections of the prostate. Ofloxacin (Generic Floxin) works by entering the bacterial cell inhibiting a chemical called DNA-gyrase which is involved in the production of genetic material (DNA). This therefore prevents the bacteria from reproducing and their growth is stopped.
