Generic Embeline is indicated to treat skin problems. It belongs to the family of corticosteroid. Clobetasol (Generic Embeline) reduces or inhibits the actions of chemicals in the body that cause inflammation, redness, and swelling. Inflammation could be caused by a number of conditions such as allergic reactions, eczema, and psoriasis.
Generic for Embeline Contraindications and Drug Interactions
Generic Embeline is contraindicated in patients, who are hypersensitive to this drug, medications that belong to this class of drugs or had an allergic reaction to it in the past.
Generic Embeline should not be taken by patients who have a history of the following ailment conditions.
Active infection including measles, tuberculosis, herpes, or chickenpox
Circulation problems or vascular disease
Large areas of burned or damaged skin
Thinning of the skin
There are a number of medications that interact with Generic Embeline. It is important to take the doctor's counsel if you are using any other skin care products on the treated area. Do not apply Generic Embeline at the same site as other skin preparations without advice.
Generic for Embeline Dosage

Generic Embeline ointment/cream should be applied to the affected skin areas twice daily and rubbed in gently and completely. Since these are the super-high potency topical corticosteroids the treatment should be limited to 2 consecutive weeks only and amounts greater than 50 g/week should not be used.

Some of the most serious Generic Embeline side Effects include lack of healing of the skin condition, painful, red, pus-filled blisters on the skin or in hair follicles, severe burning and continued itching of the skin and thinning of the skin with easy bruising.

Studies do not indicate whether clobetasol topical will be harmful to an unborn baby. If it is necessary to use clobetasol (Generic Embeline) during pregnancy, the smallest amount possible should be applied, for the shortest time necessary to treat the condition, under the supervision of a doctor.

It is not known whether Generic Embeline passes into breast milk. Do not use Generic Embeline without first talking to your doctor if you are breast-feeding a baby.
