Generic Cyproheptadine is contraindicated in patients, who are hypersensitive to this drug, medications that belong to this class of drugs or had an allergic reaction to it in the past. Patients with no angle-closure glaucoma, patients predisposed to urinary retention, and in patients with stenosing peptic ulcer or pyloroduodenal obstruction, symptomatic prostatic hypertrophy or bladder neck obstruction, this drug is contraindicated.
Generic Cyproheptadine should not be taken by patients who have a history of the following ailment conditions.
Glaucoma or increased pressure in the eye
a stomach ulcer
an enlarged prostate, bladder problems or difficulty urinating
an overactive thyroid
hypertension or any type of heart problems; or asthma
