Generic Cosopt is contraindicated in patients, with a prior history of hypersensitivity to this drug, medications that belong to this class of drug or any component of this formulation.
Generic Cosopt should not be taken by patients who have a history of the following ailment conditions.
- Asthma, bronchitis or bronchospasm, emphysema, or other lung disease
- Closed-angle glaucoma
- Diabetes
- Eye infection or damage
- Heart or blood vessel disease
- Kidney or liver disease
- Thyroid disease
- Wear contact lenses
There are a number of medications that interact with Generic Cosopt. It is important to take the doctor's counsel if you are taking any of the following.
- Beta-adrenergic blocking agents
- Calcium channel blocking agents
- Digitalis glycosides (heart medicine)
- Carbonic anhydrase inhibitor
- Quinidine
