Indications

Generic Co-Aprovel is indicated for the treatment of high blood pressure. Hypertension or high blood pressure is a common disorder in which the blood pressure remains abnormally high. Generic Co-Aprovel works by blocking the action of certain natural chemicals that tighten the blood vessels, making blood flow more smoothly.
Generic for Co-Aprovel Contraindications and Drug Interactions
Generic Co-Aprovel is contraindicated in patients, who are hypersensitive to this drug, medications that belong to this class of drugs or had an allergic reaction to it in the past. Because of the hydrochlorothiazide component, Irbesartan is contraindicated in patients with anuria or hypersensitivity to other sulfonamide-derived drugs.

The recommended initial dose of Irbesartan (Generic Co-Aprovel) is 150 mg once daily. Patients requiring further reduction in blood pressure should be titrated to 300 mg once daily.
