Schizophrenia is a mental disorder that causes separation between the thought processes and emotions. Clozapine works by decreasing abnormal excitement in the brain.

Generic Clozaril should not be taken by patients who have history of the following
Drug-induced agranulocytosis or severe granulocytopenia
Severe central nervous system depression

The usual recommended dosage of Generic Clozaril for Psychosis is half of a 25-milligram tablet (12.5 milligrams) 1 or 2 times daily. The doctor may increase the dosage in increments of 25 to 50 milligrams a day to achieve a daily dose of 300 to 450 milligrams by the end of 2 weeks.
