Generic Clindamycin is indicated to treat acne and skin infections. Clindamycin (Generic Clindagel) works by preventing bacteria from producing proteins essential to the bacterial cell. Without these proteins the bacteria cannot grow, replicate and increase in numbers. By controlling bacterial numbers, the inflammation of the sebaceous glands is brought under control and the skin is allowed to heal.

Generic Clindagel is contraindicated in patients, who are hypersensitive to this drug, medications that belong to this class of drugs or had an allergic reaction to it in the past.
Generic Clindagel should not be taken by patients who have a history of the following ailment conditions.
Kidney disease
Lever disease
Stomach or intestinal disease.

The usual recommended dosage of Generic Clindagel for serious infections is 150 to 300 mg every 6 hours. For more severe infections the dosage is 300 to 450 mg every 6 hours
