Generic Clemastine is an antihistamine. It works by blocking the effects of the naturally occuring chemical histamine in your body.

Generic Clemastine is contraindicated in patients, who are hypersensitive to this drug, medications that belong to this class of drugs or had an allergic reaction to it in the past.
Generic Clemastine should not be taken by patients who have a history of the following ailment conditions.
Glaucoma or increased pressure in the eye stomach ulcer enlarged prostate, bladder problems or difficulty urinating an overactive thyroid hypertension or any type of heart problems or asthma.
There are a number of medications that interact with Generic Clemastine. It is important to take the doctor's counsel if you are taking any of the following.
Monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) anxiety or sleep medicines medications for depression medications that make you feel drowsy, sleepy or relaxed.
