Indications

Generic Cellcept is indicated to lower the body's natural immunity in patients who receive organ transplants. When a patient receives an organ transplant, the body's white blood cells will try to get rid of (reject) the transplanted organ. Mycophenolate (Generic Cellcept) works by preventing the white blood cells from getting rid of the transplanted organ.
Generic for Cellcept Contraindications and Drug Interactions
Generic Cellcept is contraindicated in patients, who are hypersensitive to this drug, medications that belong to this class of drugs or had an allergic reaction to it in the past.
Generic Cellcept should not be taken by patients who have a history of the following ailment conditions.
Delayed kidney function following kidney transplantation or Kidney problems Digestive system disease.

Antacids azathioprine aciclovir ganciclovir cholestyramine tacrolimus probenecid vaccinations.

The following information just highlights the general average dosage of GenericCellcept The usual recommended dosage of Generic Cellcept for Allogeneic renal and cardiac transplants is,
For Renal Transplantation,a dose of 1.0 g administered orally or intravenously (over 2 hours) twice a day (daily dose of 2 g) is recommended for use in renal transplant patients. Although a dose of 1.5 g administered twice daily (daily dose of 3 g) was used in clinical trials and was shown to be safe and effective, no efficacy advantage could be established for renal transplant patients. Patients receiving 2 g/day of CellCept demonstrated an overall better safety profile than did patients receiving 3 g/day of CellCept.
For Cardiac Transplantation, a dose of 1.5 g bid administered intravenously (over NO LESS THAN 2 HOURS) or 1.5 g bid oral (daily dose of 3 g) is recommended for use in cardiac transplant patients
