Generic Celebrex is indicated for the relief of the signs and symptoms of osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. Celebrex is also used for the treatment of menstrual cramps and colonic polyps. Celecoxib blocks the enzyme that makes prostaglandins, a chemical that causes inflammation of arthritis.
Generic for Celebrex Contraindications and Drug Interactions
Generic Celebrex is contraindicated in patients, who are hypersensitive to this drug, medications that belong to this class of drugs or had an allergic reaction to it in the past.
Generic Celebrex should not be taken by patients who have history of the following ailment conditions
Asthma
Urticaria

Usual recommended dosage of Generic Celebrex for Osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis is,
For Osteoarthritis:200 mg per day administered as a single dose or as 100 mg twice per day.
For Rheumatoid arthritis: 100 to 200 mg twice per day.
Generic for Celebrex Adverse Effects
Some of the most serious Generic Celebrex side Effects include signs of bleeding from the stomach- black tarry stools, blood in the urine, unusual tiredness or weakness, vomiting blood or vomit that looks like coffee grounds, signs of an allergic reaction - difficulty breathing or wheezing, skin rash, redness, blistering or peeling skin, hives, or itching, swelling of eyelids, throat, lips , blurred vision, decrease in the amount of urine passed
Pain on swallowing, difficulty swallowing, severe heartburn or pain in throat, stomach tenderness, pain, bleeding, or cramps, unexplained weight gain or edema, yellowing of eyes or skin.
