stomach or intestinal problems
other chronic illness
unusual or allergic reaction to cefuroxime, other cephalosporin antibiotics.
penicillin, penicillamine.

The usual recommended dosage of Generic Cefuroxime for bacterial infections is 250 milligrams, 2 times a day for up to 10 days. For more severe infections the dose may be increased to 500 milligrams, 2 times a day.
For Throat and Tonsil Infections, 125 milligrams 2 times a day for 10 days.
For Urinary Tract Infection, 125 milligrams, 2 times a day for 7 to 10 days. This dose may be increased to 250 milligrams 2 times a day for severe infection.
For Gonorrhea, a single dose of 1 gram.
For Early Lyme Disease, 500 milligrams taken twice a day for 20 days
