Category - Anti-glaucoma medication.
Indications
Internal eye pressure, open angle glaucoma
Generic Betoptic belongs to a group of medicines called beta-blockers. Betaoxolol (Generic Betoptic) eye products can reduce the pressure inside the eye from an elevated pressure. In combination with other anti-glaucoma medicines or alone, Generic Betoptic, is also effective in open-angle glaucoma.
Generic for Betoptic Contraindications and Drug Interactions
Generic Betoptic is contraindicated in patients, who are hypersensitive to this drug, any component of this product or patients with sinus bradycardie, cardiogenic shock, or patients with overt cardiac failure or had an allergic reaction to it in the past.
Generic Betoptic should not be taken by patients who have a history of the following ailment conditions.
Asthama
Heart disease
Thyoid disease
Diabetes.

The usual recommended dosage of Generic Betoptic is one to two drops of Generic Betoptic Ophthalmic Suspension 0.25% in the affected eye(s) twice daily. Careful monitoring of patients is advised.

Some of the most serious Generic Betoptic side Effects include burning stinging or itching of the eyes or eyelids, changes in vision or increased sensitivity of the eyes to light.
