Generic Beconase AQ is indicated to treat allergic symptoms. Beclomethasone (Generic Beclomethasone) belongs to the family of medicines called steroids. These medicines are sprayed or inhaled into the nose to help relieve the stuffy nose, irritation, and discomfort of hay fever, other allergies, and other nasal problems.
Generic for Beconase AQ Contraindications and Drug Interactions
Generic Beconase AQ is contraindicated in patients, who are hypersensitive to this drug, medications that belong to this class of drugs or had an allergic reaction to it in the past.
Generic Beconase AQ should not be taken by patients who have a history of the following ailment conditions.
Amebiasis-nasal corticosteroids
Asthma-nasal corticosteroids
Diabetes mellitus
Glaucoma
Herpes simplex Virus infection of the eye
Infections (virus, bacteria or fungus)
Nose surgery
Nose injury
Renal artery stenosis
Angioedema
Liver disease
Tuberculosis
Underactive thyroid
Weak heart
Recent heart attack

The following information just highlights the general average dosage of Generic Beconase AQ
The usual recommended dosage of Generic Beconase AQ for chronic asthma is
Adults and Children 12 Years of Age and Older:
The usual dosage is 1 or 2 nasal inhalations (42 to 84 mcg) in each nostril twice a day (total dose, 168 to 336 mcg/day).
Children 6 to 12 Years of Age:
Patients should be started with 1 nasal inhalation in each nostril twice daily; patients not adequately responding to 168 mcg or those with more severe symptoms may use 336 mcg (2 inhalations in each nostril). Once adequate control is achieved, the dosage should be decreased to 84 mcg (1 spray in each nostril) twice daily. BECONASE AQ Nasal Spray is not recommended for children below 6 years of age.
The maximum total daily dosage should not exceed 2 sprays in each nostril twice daily (336 mcg/day).
Generic for Beconase AQ Adverse Effects
Some of the most serious Generic Beconase AQ side Effects include chest pain or tightness, fever or chills, skin rash and itching (hives), sore mouth, with cream or white curd-like patches in the mouth or throat, troubled breathing or wheezing, unusual swelling.
