Generic Amiloride is indicated for the treatment of hypertension. Hypertension is a common disorder in which the blood pressure remains abnormally high. Amiloride is also prescribed to treat edema, swelling caused by an abnormal accumulation of fluid in body tissues.

Generic Amiloride is contraindicated in patients, who are hypersensitive to this drug, medications that belong to this class of drugs or had an allergic reaction to it in the past.
