Generic Altinac is a naturally occurring form of vitamin A. It is applied to the skin to treat mild to moderate acne or to treat the effects of aging on the face, such as fine lines, wrinkles, or "age spots". Tretinoin (Generic Altinac) also helps the skin to renew itself more quickly and therefore reduces pimple and blackhead formation, and may improve the appearance and texture of the skin.

Generic Altinac is contraindicated in patients, who are hypersensitive to this drug, medications that belong to this class of drugs or had an allergic reaction to it in the past.
Generic Altinac should not be taken by patients who have a history of the following.
Eczema
Allergy to tretinoin components
Sunburns

The usual recommended dosage of Generic Altinac is 45 mg/m2/day administered as two evenly divided doses until complete remission is documented. Therapy should be discontinued 30 days after achievement of complete remission or after 90 days of treatment, whichever occurs first.
