Indications
Osteoporosis Generic Actonel is indicated for the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women. Risedronate (Generic Actonel) is also used in the treatment of Paget's disease, a condition in which patches of bones becomes softened and enlarged.

Generic Actonel is contraindicated in patients, who are hypersensitive to this drug, medications that belong to this class of drugs or had an allergic reaction to it in the past.
